The Derby Engineering Unit, is a privately owned company, that specialises in the Rail Industry. It boasts both Mechanical and Electrical Technicians that support the companies clients, by supplying Installation and Modification teams to attend site and complete work to the very highest standard for a pre-agreed ‘Fixed Price’.

The Company has during it’s existence formed strong relations with sub-contractors to offer additional services to those completed in house, these include high quality metal coatings such as powder coat, wet paint, zinc plating and anodising. It also has the certification that qualifies it to manage design should it’s clients require a one stop shop for design, manufacture and installation.

At it’s Derby based facility it’s Electrical Engineering department has the capacity to supply pre-made looms, build and commission test equipment, wire consumer supplied panels, as well as panels produced in house. It’s Mechanical department has the capacity to produce both fabricated and machined items in a variety of materials that include Nylon, Aluminium, Mild and Stainless Steel. It also boasts a joinery department that is fully conversant with interior trim.
